Dear Sirs,
As Computer Learning Month (October) comes closer, we, the members of
the Mountain View Computer User Group (MVCUG), Amiga SIG, find ourselves
with a dilemna. Our counterparts within the user group have arranged to
have representatives from Apple (Macintosh), IBM, and Tandy to come and do
their version of "multi-media". While we, the Amiga users, know that the
Amiga is far better suited for this kind of thing, we lack the resources to
prove this.
Currently, we have requested that a representative from Commodore come
and demonstrate a few Amiga products. In light of the fact that our user
group has won First Place, in the nation, two years in a row, for Computer
Learning Month, we just might get a Commodore representative here, (we
might also win the lottery too.)
We would really like to see if a representative from Newtek might be
able to take time out of his or her busy schedule to come and demonstrate
what Newtek has to offer, particularly the Video Toaster (the most
innovative, exciting piece of hardware EVER manufactured for ANY computer
at ANY price.)
If this is not possible, we would be extremely appreciative if Newtek
could provide us with a videotape demonstrating the Video Toaster's
capabilities. This tape would, hopefully, include Penn & Teller's video
which has impressed so many at the Amiga conventions. It is our hope that
we can also impress our counterparts with the superior capabilities of the
Amiga and the Newtek product line.
We thank you for your consideration in this matter. We would also like
to reiterate our excitement and anticipation concerning the release of the
Video Toaster and our hope that you can come through for us.
Sincerely,
Cliff McKeithan

Amiga SIG Chairman
Mr. McKeithan,
Thank you for your letter regarding Computer Learning Month and the
activities that your user group has planned. I would suggest sending a
copy to our main office in Topeka, Kansas. Currently, I am directing
online support from a different location and do not have access to the
latest schedules for our marketing department. I would suggest addressing
your letter to Mr. Mark Randall, Director of Marketing.
Sincerely,
RAD Moose
