I am now having trouble with my year-old SuperGen since I upgraded to an
A2000 (used). I have been using with no problem with an A500 and now that I
have tried to hook it up to a A2000 I just bought from a non-video person,
I find that the RGB passthrough picture is fine, but the composite picture
is distorted and tearing.
Anyone know anything about this….

Rex,
Start by rechecking the positions of the DIP switches on the SuperGen. The
symptoms you describe might be due to an unterminated composite port.
If the RGB passthrough is fine, then the shielded RGB ribbon cable is
probably all right (it's the one thing I REALLY dislike about the original
supergen — it's completely nonstandard and quite vulnerable to damage).
If the DIP switches are okay, then let me know what the image looks like
when you pass composite video through the supergen. Does everything look
awful or is it just the encoded graphics with the composite video passing
through all right?
