Could someone tell me if Amax-II supports non SCSI hard disk partitions on a supported SCSI controller. I.E. a Seagate ST-251 (ST506) on a 2090A controller. I assumed that it would, since the upgrade said 'supports Amiga hard disk paritions', but I can not get the partition to format…leaving me with a sinking feeling in my stomach. Also, I can not get any system sounds to work (chime, bell, monkey, et all…) -Rocky

Rocky, This may not be the correct answer to your problem. I talked with Readysoft about hard drive support, specifically, using a Kronos controller on an ST-251 with an OMTI 3527. I was told that support was actually a problem of the hard disk driver software and that if the driver supported AMAX, there'd be no problem. However, CLtd doesn't have an AMAX compatible driver, nor does Supra, yet. Readysoft told me that when those manufacturers provide compatible drivers, then there would be no problem. I called Supra and Micro-Dyn to find out the status of compatible drivers for AMAX and was told they are under development and would be available in the near future. Perhaps this answers your particular question.
