The easiest way would be to use the MCIAAP.DRV MCI driver, via MCI calls. I
don't know FoxPro's language, but assuming it can call MCIs, it shouldn't be
too much of a problem. I can do it in Multimedia Toolbook with ease.
Basically, you would open the FLC as a "device element." If the [MCI
extensions] section of SYSTEM.INI is properly set up, it should know to use
MCIAAP to play .FLC elements. To be sure, you can specify. Assuming the
device name as given in the [mci] section is "Animation1", you would give the
following MCI command (using whatever syntax FoxPro provides for doing MCI
calls):
"open myanim.flc type Animation1 wait"
The command will, if it succeeds, return an MCI handle. How you get that
handle depends on FoxPro. You must use it in all further commands that
reference that animation.
Once it's open, just send an MCI "play myanim.flc". (Add " wait" if you
don't want FoxPro to regain control until after the animation is finished
playing.) When done, send an MCI "close myanim.flc".
