flic to gif

Easiest way is to use ANICONV which comes with Animator Pro. If you don't
have that, another way is to use Video Post. Simply start 3DSr2.01, go to the
Keyframer with nothing loaded, do Render/Setup/Configure to set the NULL
device, the desired output resolution and file format of GIF and Compressed.
Then press [*] on your keyboard, and make sure the directory containing your
FLC is either the Image Path or one of the Map Paths — this is IMPORTANT! Now
do Render/Video Post and click on any viewport. Click [Add] and the first
entry, and you should see "[KF scene]". Increase the frame count of the Video
Post if necessary. Click [Edit] and then [KF scene] and select "Bitmap" and
enter the name of your FLC file. You will soon see a bar appear that's the
length of the FLC. Adjust if necessary. Now click on [Render], use [All] if
you've set the Video Post frame count to the exact length of the FLC or
[Range:] otherwise, click [Disk], and [Render]. Enter the first four
characters of the name you want the GIFs to have (the rest will be digits) and
select a drive and directory if other than the Image Path for them to go in,
and click [Ok]. Voila!
Marion,
Thanks for all the info on how to do this!
I can't wait to try it.
