#Resizing marquee box
4 messages in this thread
In the "effects" options under FLCs is there anyway to change the size of the
marquee box. I would like to use the 2X expand to enlarge 320×200, but I can't
seem to find out how to change the size of the marquee box?

The Expand X2 is designed to exactly double the size of the current display
screen, so you can't change the size of the marqee box — only move it. If you
want to scale up an area a different amount, either put it in a cel and then
increase the size of the cel, or use the Optics screen to scale up the flic by
any amount.

I did a map in 320×200. I then loaded it into a 1024×768 screen size. But when
I try to do an Exapand X2, the marque box only covers one corner of the map
image. I though that it should scale the entire image.
What I am trying to do is rescale an image by importing it into a different
size, expanding the image to fill the entire visual screen, then reloading it
into 320×200 and using the pan function to scroll it. Will this approach work?

If you just switch to 1024×768 (physical screen-size) you still have a
320×200 (logical screen-size) FLIC.
Just in case that is your problem, here are the steps I take to change the
logical screen-size
1. CLIP the entire FLIC.
1. Under EXTRA select CONFIGURE, then SAVE SETTINGS
2. Set SCREEN SIZE to 1024×768 (you will get the same number of frames,
etc. because you saved your settings.)
3. PASTE the CEL

I think PAN is only used for viewing different areas while you are working
on the FLIC and has no effect when you show the FLIC. The CONVERTER utility
can be used for "panning" a still image.
