#ASOFT FAMILY PORTRAIT?
9 messages in this thread
We were playing around the other day with creating new characters for a project
we are working on and an idea came up. We have all been leaving messages on
this board for a while now, but there are a lot of us who have never seen each
other. The idea is this, each member creates an animated character of himself,
say that will fit in a 100x100x400 unit box, animate it for 30 frames, download
it to the ASOFT forum. They can all be assembled into a single animation and
rendered out for all to see as an ASOFt family picture per say. Is anyone
interested?
He-He…the thought totally cracks me up! Let's see what kind of response you
get, Andrew. Should be interesting…

These animations would be especially flattering for those of us awake,
animating, and on CIS at 4 a.m. <g>.

Andrew:
Sounds like a great idea! However, I'm going to submit mine with Alan
Iglesias' picture mapped onto the image! I figure it'll confuse everybody,
and make me look much better, besides! <g>

This is along the lines of Martin Foster's suggestion that everyone upload a
JPG or GIF of themselves. I actually intend to do this (as Martin has) as soon
as I get my scanner hooked up after I finish my curent project and can afford
crashes and hangups. I'd consider an animation of myself, too. Just so's you
know.

This is great. Does it mean that now I need a hair cut before I log into
CI$? Or maybe I will scan my driver's license and get thrown out of
Compuserve for indecent exposure. Gary Yost will need a 64 bit per chanel
scanner to get his shirt right.
I think Gary's shirt will require 64-bit stereo sim-glasses as well as
under-the-counter comestibles/combustibles to REALLY get his shirt right!

David How bout AVI files? What's the limit on file size?
James.
AVI files, good idea. As to a limit on size, you gots me, Mahn.
