The Matrox lit. does not list the Z-buffer as an option for the
MGA-VLB boards. They say that the Z-buffer is unecessary with the data
transfer capabilities of the VL-Bus.

The new PC Mag (V12N15), features the line of MGA cards in its 'First Looks'
section. It lists the entire line from $599 to $1999. While there is no listing
for a 3 Meg VL-Bus card with Z-Buffering as I thought there was, there is the
Impression Pro 4ZV, an 8.5 Meg card with VESA Local Bus interface and Z-Buffer.
This is the $1999 card (go figure!), and it is VERY far out of my range. =:-)
