Targa 16 and ati mach32

I have been running 3d studio with ATI Mach32 video card and DLXPRESS
drivers successfully for 6 months now, but recently I just got an original
Targa 16 card and set it up to work with the RDPTARGA drivers that came
with 3Dstudio. I load in the DLXpress driver for my RCPADI drivers, and
the Targa driver for the RDPADI driver, but if i try to run the materials
editor after rendering to the targa card, 3dstudio crashes and reboots the
system. It looks like the two drivers are conflicting pretty badly. I
realize that this a pretty unique installation, but I was wondering if
anyone had any suggestion about resolving conflict such as perhaps by
setting up 3dstudio to run materials editor on targa. Thanks in advance.
Have you tried changing the memory address on the Targa from A000 to D000? The
A000 segment is often occupied by video, but is the default of the Targa+ on
installation. I'm not sure if the same applies to the classic Targa.
