Bob, Do you have any recommendations for 1 gig optical drives or drives that you NOT recommend? Stephen

If you wnat the whole giga: Get the Iomega! I don't have the name here, but we reviewed it at the mag and it's great. If you want same or more speed, less pricey (think in the 2,500-3,000 range) and "only" 650 megabytes, get the Pinnacle Micro. It will run as fast as a harddrive and works really well. I only have a MO128 with Corel drivers (I also recommend you to get them instead of its own set) and it's great. I remember a few with the Pinnacle here who are really happy with it. Ana, I was told that PHASE CHANGE technology is better, what do you think. Panasonic has a drive that uses phase change. I was told that it is better than magnito optical. I will render to this drive as well as use it for archive. Also, you mentioned larger than one gig drives. I was told that the only drives that are larger than one gig are JUKE boxes which hold several 1-gig drives; and they were more expensive and same speed or slower. Stephen
