Bob,
Is there a way to render to a ".PIC" file rather than a targa file. I have
a someone who can take my animation and put it out to Bata SP but he
requires a ".pic" format. If 3ds 2 can not, what about 3ds 3? Or is there
some kind of a conversion from "TGA->PIC" available? Do I lose anything by
running this kind of a conversion? Also, to complicate things he has a MAC
and I am using 486/66? What is the best method for transfering files, over
a modem? Do my 3ds.set settings need to be anything different if I am going
to send files to someone for Bata SP output?
Thanks!
Stephen
Stephen,
image alchemy will convert .tga to .pic – there is a shareware version which
will do up to 640×480 resolution only called imgalc.zip (I think) or the
commercial version, which I have, is about $79 (or a 386 protected mode faster
version for $179). There may be other such utilities.
