RexxArp Help

First thanks for all the help. If I can figure out a few things the
RexxArpLib may be a great deal of help.
The first problem is that I want to use programs with Arexx ports,
SbPro4 and SuperPlan, for example, and switch back and forth between them.
I can launch the programs from ARexx, but I can't use screentofront/back
without their public screen names. Where do I find them ??? Not in the
docs for sure.
Can I use CreateHost to launch the Apps, and if so what is the best way
to do this (syntax)?
I really feel stupid, like I'm missing something obvious, but after
messing around with no luck I decided the easiest way is to ask.
Thanks in advance for your help

Roger,
Interesting signature you have at the bottom of your message <g>…

Well I've had an A3000 for some time now and I've just downloaded AP.
Before that I used a little program called Wombat(Xmodem for data
transfer). I never downloaded Whap.
And I've never even tried to use AREXX until last month. I guess I feel
like I'm at least a generation behind.
Anyway since the 21st in close upon us I guess it's time to enter the
20th.

Roger,
Actually my comment was meant to be humorous. If you look at the end
of my message you will see that my Amiga check as well as my initials are
similar to yours!

Roy,
Even though I'm set in my ways, so was mine

Roger:
Usually, the public screen name appears on the screen titlebar. If for
some reason these programs don't put it there (and I have no idea why they
wouldn't) try using a program like the Amiga Real Time Monitor (ARTM) to
find the screen names.
Creathost() isn't used to launch programs. You use that when you need to
start an ARexx function host for use with RexxArpLib.
If you can find them, get the issues of Amiga World Tech Journal
containing the articles on rexxarplib written by Marv Weinstein. They
explain everything about communicating with function hosts, using
rexxarplib, and some tricks on addressing DOS from Arexx.
Stay cool B-)

Could be that these programs don't use public screens [Ds.

To start SbPro4 from ARexx, don't you want to do something like:
. . . . . .
/* Make sure libs are open */
if ~show('l','rexxsupport.library') then
if ~addlib('rexxsupport.library',0,-30,0) then exit 20
if ~show('l','rexxarplib.library') then
if ~addlib('rexxarplib.library',0,-30,0) then exit 20
address command 'run SBase4:SBase4pro <nil: >nil:'
do 50 while ~show('P', 'SBase4') /* wait for it to start */
call delay 10
end
if ~show('P', 'SBase4') then /* didn't start – bail out */
exit 20
. . . . .
Note: 'SBase4' is the port name for SBase Professional 4 V1.2 you may want
to use 'show('P')' to verify the port name for your version.

Have you tried using one of the 'system monitor' type programs to see
screen and/or window names? (Although I couldn't guarantee that there will be a
useable name.) For example:
