Don't have any experience with that particular bulb, so don't know about brightness, area coverage, etc. But yes, it will consume 1000 watts. At 120 volts, that will draw 8.33 amps, so use a substantial power cord! (Watts = Volts x Amps) I suspect you'll have enough light to read by <g>. Read action !reply Enter reply.
