I wasn't aware that v18 could generate 3D DXF files. It'll save me a step since
I won't have to use GIFDXF. Thanks for passing that on to me. I have v18 but I
haven't had much time to explore new features.
If you want to preserve the colours generated in Fractint, just use the same
image that you "reopened" in Fractint and converted to 3D. In other words, take
the gif you saved from the plasma process. Use this image as a texture map for
the 3D object you created for 3D Studio. Just apply it as a "planar" texture
map from overhead. It should work perfectly since the scales are identical.
