Wow!,
You sound like you are at exactly the same stage of the animation game
as I (actually a little ahead equipment wise…) I am currently employed as a
technical analyst at a medical billing software company. I purchased 3D Studio
recently w/ no expirence etc… I have just produced a SIMPLE tape for my day
job using all FLC playback to VTR for a trade show(about 10 Minutes w/ stills
and repeated animations, believe it or not everyone including the AD agency we
use said they were impressed!).
Anyway, I would be interested in sharing expirences/info with you as I am
determined to get into the animation biz one way or another….I am currently
working on my first demo tape (it is still going to be FLC playback) and would
be interested in seeing yours…Perhaps we could exchange tapes…

I'm beating on it from the forensic angle. Animation in the courtroom is still
a new thing around here, and I don't have to deal with the broadcast snobs
(just lawyers<G>). I'd like to work my way into broadcast stuff eventually,
though. I'm about to cut one more iteration of my demo tape. I'll send it to
you when I'm done if your interested.
