Good news. The machine has an 8087 coprocessor. Bad news. No mouse. But,
there's a 1200 modem.
Vicky, still haven't had a chance to try CHAOS without a mouse. Sorry, I'll do
it today. Thanks for your patience.
P.S. Just read a message in the Animator section where a user pointed out that
not everyone has a mouse. Thanks for validating his observation!

CHAOS will work just fine without a mouse; I don't _think_ I
programmed anything that can only be done with a mouse, though using
the keyboard might be more tedious for some operations. In general,
the arrow keys will nicely navigate around the menus. The use of the
TAB key in file dialogs is a bit unusual, I seem to recall, but
that's about it.
Slow computers with no co-processors will drag down a lot of the
program. Some parts of the program, such as the Mandelbrots, use a
lot of integer arithmetic, so they won't suffer as much from
coprocessorlessness; but the fractal forgeries and such are very
floating point intensive, and there can be up to a tenfold speed
advantage to using the coprocessor.
