Hi, Chris — Took me a few hours to figure out all I had to do was to sign back on in interactive, push the MSG-hi-# in OPTIONS to one above the problem message, and be back in business. Duh… Glad to see it wasn't just me (saw someone else leave a message regarding the same phenom, too) (I have this paranoid streak, y'know, and whenever such things happen, the instantaneous reaction is some variation on a theme of "it only happens to me, so I must be <target><doing something wrong><one of the chosen>" {grin}). I'll offer the problem up to Steve in AP section of Vendors… — Ed (In Nawth NH) — [via AP!]

Ed, I ended up just sitting there watching a blank screen for a few, while keeping an eye on the hard disk light. When it finally stopped flickering I was going to reboot, then the Forum prompt returned along with about a half-dozen CTRL-Cs I had sent from the AP activity window. Just one of those CIS things that go bump in the night, Chris

Chris, I wonder if the 'blank' screen you saw was that message posted yesterday or the day before that had about a zillion balnk lines in it? I just let AP keep going and it worked fine… maybe you and ED jumped the gun by assuming there was a problem (it sure did look like it!) and issuing the ^C's?

That message with the blank lines caused AP to lock up on me. Richard -> on the Amiga 1000 AutoPilot from Minneapolis
