Rendering for ads

To All
I am looking for a solution (I hate this word) to a specific problem of a
client of mine. They are advertising designers working for real estate
developers. They do lifelike renderings of yet unbuilt houses. The kind you
can see in the real estate section of your Sunday paper with a little
inscription saying "artist's concept" under it.
The look is very important, and so far I haven't seen any computer generated 3D
rendering that would meet their requirements. What they would need is
something between a drawing and a painting program.
I have ideas and some very specific questions, at this point however I would
just like to find someone who has experience with this problem. I don't think
that 3D Studio is the answer, I am only her to find someone who knows what I am
talking about.

Hi,
Are you saying that what your client is looking for is a realistic rendering
that has an artistic flair to it, as if a painter did it, rather than being a
digitally 'clean-cut' photorealistic rendering? Either way, we may be able to
assist. We are computer animators who specialize in architectural renderings
and animations. Our background covers drafting, design, desktop publishing,
and art (paintings, murals, etc.) Let us know if we can help.
