Long time no see, I trust everything is excellent at Syndesis HQ. Recently I have been trying to convert a DXF object to LW or even 3DS. However, I have been getting the following error: Not enough memory for object point data John, my machine has about 36MB Ram, and the object is a Cadecus (the medical symbol with the snakes around it). I have tried converting it to 3DS and then to LW to see if that helps, but then it just creates a single point with no size. What gives? Oh, by the way, congradulations on Syndesis's recognition on the Comodore Time Line which was recently published in Amiga World!

If you don't put 76004,1763 on my name, I might not catch this message until days or weeks from now… Did that error message come from LightWave import or InterChange import? I thought InterChange only has "no memory" messages. Do you have any idea of how many points or faces are present in this DXF file? If nothing else, upload it here, or send it on a convenient floppy and I'll check it out. Commodore time line? Hmm, I didn't see it. Which issue is this?

Sorry, didn't know I had to put your ID# on the message – it has been noted! Message came after I had converted in Interchange and then loaded the object in Lightwave. I am having the guy who gave me the object look at it and see what the deal is – he is suppose to resave it as a 3DS file and then send it to me. If I have any problems, I'll mail you the floppy. You are on the timeline in an article called DIMENSIONS AHEAD OF OUR TIME in the September 94 issue of Amiga World ( in fact it was written by a friend of mine who actually introduced me to this whole Toaster/Video stuff – Sheldon Leemon ).
