I'm trying to enter some new announce messages in myPPak system to no avail I have been able to do this in the past with few problems, however I'm now unable to access my system in local mode from my telephone. I lift my phone, go into local mode, and then press # 0 (nothing happens) my phone is active as evidenced by blowing in the mouthpiece. The only thing that is different from when I origionally installed it is that I have upgraded to 2.4. I have run through all procedures ppgs. 30-33 in my manual. I'm running an Amiga 3000/17. with 2 meg of chip. Total memory of 7863264.

Hi Bruce Try pressing # 0 without going into local mode. Local mode is only used when you want to record new messages. # 0 if you want to test your setup as if you were calling from another phone. Hope this helps. -Gary Gary Giles Yap Yap all the way from the UK Via Autopilot

Bruce, It is very important when updating to version 2.4 that nothing of the original software still exist. In most cases, users will place the LINEMAN program in their WBSTARTUP drawer for automatic activation. This will cause a problem when updating to version 2.4, since it will be looking in the PPAK drawer for the previous version. If other files have been moved, the update will be even less successfull. The version numbers should have been updated on all PPAK files. Check the versions you are running of LINEMAN and PHONEPAK. Try re-installing from scratch onto another section of the hard drive (after removing the PPAK and SYSMSG assignments). One of these suggestions should get you up and running. GVP TECH
