I just installed the X-Prep V2.5. On page 2 is the option Synchron!
I use a G-Force 040/33 and a Fujitsu 2694 which support synchron mode.
Afeter a first crash of my rigid block I couls write the new prep info on
my HD. Is it now really working in synchrones mode or must I change
anything else.
Is there a SCSI commons utility out which can en-/disable write caches and
other options?
Adding that flag is all that is necessary for SYNC to be active. As
for SCSI utilities, there are several PD programs that can toggle
your caches and burst mode options. Of course, Commodore provides
CPU for this function.
