I have an IOExtender that seems to hate Final Copy II. When I try to
use the GVP IOControl program to print using Final Copy to the
parallel port on the IOEx, FC II simply hangs.
I CAN get around this and still print to the IOEx, but only by executing
"CMD parallel GP0:SomeFile opt m" This is a little disturbing, it either
points to something wrong with Your driver or something wrong wiuth FCII's
printing routines…
My system is an A4000 with 10MB, WB 3.0, an A4008 and an IOEx. Any
help you can give me would be appreciated…
I've never tried using FCII with the IOX, so I can't give you many
immediate suggestions. Does GVPIOCTRL work with other programs? You
message does not say. Final Copy does some pre-processing before
sending information to the port, so it could be doing something
wrong. SETDEVICE needs to be running for GVPIOCTRL to work
properly. The I/O Extender installation should have added a line in
your user-startup file.
