[A [A/edit Being a new member of the Amiga Tech Forum I hope that I am doing this correctly. I have a question. After downloading from compuserve, I can't get the program to boot at all. I have been told that it is in a compressed format and it needs to go through decompression. I then loaded from Amigarts Pegger.LHA. But because this decompressor is compressed I can't get it to boot either. My ultimate goal is to download practical programs, but without being able to use them makes it futile./exit

Rodney, Download the file LHA138.RUN from Library 16 of the Amiga Users Forum (GO AMIGAUSER). This is a self-extracting archive file, which means that you can run it (from the CLI) after downloading, and it will de-archive itself, giving you the "lha" executable program, along with documentation on how to use it. This file (lha) can be used to un-compress any files in our libraries that end in the .LHA extension (it also handles .LZH extensions). Hope this helps…. – BobR (Motorola Inside!)
