#Walkthrough in AA Pro?
3 messages in this thread
I am doing a video for a client. I want to do an animated "walkthrough" of my
house. I've scanned a good photograph of my home. I have Virtus Walkthrough and
can generate a .flc that way, but just out of curiosity, how can I get a 3D
"walkthrough" effect just by using AA Pro? I'm sure it can be done, but what
would the best approach be? I think I'll probably generate the .flc in Virtus,
but I would like to know how others that don't have a walkthrough program
simulate the feeling in AA Pro.

To the best of my knowledge no one generates walkthroughs with Ani – alone.
It's only a 2D Package. I suppose some klever 'Kellerman' could write a Poco
routine to do it but for the most part you need a 3D Package like 3D Studio or
AutoCAD (or whatever) to build the geometry and create the frames.
What is Virtus?

I use Strata Vision 3D for the pc as my 3D program. I'm ready to scrap it for
something else because it doesn't allow me to import my 2D vector art for
modeling, a feature that I really need. Virtus Walkthrough is a program ($118)
that allows you to build CAD models and then literally walk through them. You
can record the walkthrough as a .FLC file. This feature works really well, and
you can get some cool effects. Thanks for responding to my post.
