#3DS Education
27 messages in this thread
I desire to attend a school that specializes in 3DS and related
courses. I cannot take off for a year or anything like that, I am
looking @ a few months. Could anyone please recommend a school and
tell me why that school? I am on the Central Coast of California,
but would relocate for a few months to get some good training.
Current level of expertise: Greenhorn Any comments and suggestions
are welcome.

If you pick-up a copy of 3D Artist, Issue #15, they have a
listing of a large number of courses offered. There number is
505-982-3532. Or you can call Autodesk University at 415-905-2354
and ask for Marcia Gulino.
Will do- thank you for the help.
An excellent school in Cupertino is Cogswell Polytechnic. I don't
have the address or phone number because they've moved onto a new
campus.
I will check into that one.
Cupertino is in the S.F. Bay Area isn't it?
Thanks for the help.
Steve
Cupertino is at the south end of the Bay, near Palo Alto. If you call
Cogswell, ask for Vijay Patel, who runs the program there.
Thanks Ted, I will give them a call today.
I surely appreciate your help.

I see Jim Murphy has posted Cogswells number, but as he says, it's a four year
education. Sorry, I thought thats what you were asking about.
For training in the Bay Area, check out SF State University at 415-338-1205 or
Martinez Comm. College in Sacremento (no phone handy)
Good Luck

Thanks Ted. I do kind of wish I could take 4 yrs. off and attend a degree pgm.
but I can't. I will check out SFSU and Martinez CC.
I called Cogswell yesterday and they are sending me their catalog, maybe I
could take a few of their courses.
Thanks for the help.

either way. Please let me know.

Dean,
This is the NEW MS-DOS 3.0 * CD ROM Version that includes Vistapro 3.0,
hundreds of MB's of landscape files, Makepath Flight Director and Vistamorph
(for advanced animation, ) Sample images and animations, ans sound files. Yes
it has the "Export landscapes as DXF objects" features.

Steve,
Try calling Dallas TX for info on the Art Institute of dallas. the program is
being run by Brent Blackett, a former #DS trainer for Adesk and a really bright
super type person. He had quite a program when I spoke with him at Siggraph.
PV
Thank you Pat. I have heard of something along that line in Dallas area.
I will check into it right away.
Thanks for the help Pat.
