I desire to attend a school that specializes in 3DS and related courses. I cannot take off for a year or anything like that, I am looking @ a few months. Could anyone please recommend a school and tell me why that school? I am on the Central Coast of California, but would relocate for a few months to get some good training. Current level of expertise: Greenhorn Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

Steve If you pick-up a copy of 3D Artist, Issue #15, they have a listing of a large number of courses offered. There number is 505-982-3532. Or you can call Autodesk University at 415-905-2354 and ask for Marcia Gulino.

An excellent school in Cupertino is Cogswell Polytechnic. I don't have the address or phone number because they've moved onto a new campus.

I will check into that one. Cupertino is in the S.F. Bay Area isn't it? Thanks for the help.

Steve Cupertino is at the south end of the Bay, near Palo Alto. If you call Cogswell, ask for Vijay Patel, who runs the program there.

Steve I see Jim Murphy has posted Cogswells number, but as he says, it's a four year education. Sorry, I thought thats what you were asking about. For training in the Bay Area, check out SF State University at 415-338-1205 or Martinez Comm. College in Sacremento (no phone handy) Good Luck TedB !^NavFont01F0007MGHHGF4AF1E

Steve, Try calling Dallas TX for info on the Art Institute of dallas. the program is being run by Brent Blackett, a former #DS trainer for Adesk and a really bright super type person. He had quite a program when I spoke with him at Siggraph. PV
