I recently purchased a Gateway P590 it has an ATI mach 64 video card w/ 2 meg
onboard, I had to download the new Vibrant drivers in order to support my card
in 3ds3. when I load up 3d studio it takes about 2 minutes just to initialize
which is about 10 times what it was on my 486- 66 , it also takes quite a while
to go between the materials editor and the 3d editor. Is there anything I can
do to speed things up?
My system consists of the following:
P5 90
ati mach64 w/2 meg
64 mb ram
Vibrants latest driver to support the mach 64
Vibrant Liquid Speed
I wish I could help you! I have also experienced a delay when moving between
modules. It began when I switched from a Diamond Stealth Pro to an ATI Mach
32. Where you using a ATI card before?

Yes, the Vibrant drivers have some problems with the ATI. Download the new
drivers as they are better. Though it still takes a while to load, it doesn't
have the delays when switching between modes. I also have problems when running
3D Studio and later loading Windows. In my computer, I have to cold boot
otherwise it locks up while loading Windows.
