#NEC MultiSync II – info
2 messages in this thread
Does anybody out there know about the Nec Multisync II monitors? I'd like to
know what their scan rates are, and other features etc. Does it have an RGB
input, can I hook up direct video (from a VCR) to the monitor like I do with
the 1084.
How much is such a monitor worth?
Thanks,
I use an NEC Multisync II with my A1200. Although its a bit dated, It
works great for me. It scans at all ranges of the AGA chipset except for
Monochrome. It works best in Double NTSC Hires no flicker. It does have
an RGB input, but no composite inputs so you can't hook it up to your VCR.
It would be a good idea to keep your 1084 for that purpose.
I found only one annoying thing with this monitor; when you switch between
modes (dblNTSC to regular NTSC, for example), the screen has to be
adjusted. Its not hard, the controls are in the front; but some new
monitors will remember your settings when you change scan rates. Other
than that, its a good monitor.
I traded a Hyundai VGA monitor for this one, so I don't know exactly how
much this monitor is worth. It should be worth as much as a good VGA.
