#Boot Problems with 4000
2 messages in this thread
Thanks for the suggestions. Booting from an AmigaDos floppy doesn`t seem to
help. Are there other ways –keyboard–to get into drawers to remove
things….I cannot get the mouse pointer to work. It quickly changes from the
pointer to the little clock as if it is working on something.
Nothing seems to work. Any more ideas? Months ago the keyboard
connection `sort of` fused but the keyboard still seems to work(warm booting
other drives in the machine–then the arrow turns to the little clock before I
can do anything about it).
I know this is extremely minor but being this side of the Atlantic is a
nightmare. The leading company won`t consider looking at it until `Commodore`
gets sorted out–they said after Xmas. Absurd. If anyone is looking for what
has been a wonderful machine….I used it for rendering animation and need two
hour repairs not two month ones.
Thank you for trying, Christie Horn
Christie,
Where are you? If you are in England, I can probably put you in touch
with people who can help – a huge club scattered all over England, and
some specific dealers who participate in this club and are known to be
knowledgeable and dependable.
