#explode – duration
2 messages in this thread
Gary,
I am having a nightmare this evening, it is getting late and I want to go home,
I know that the problems I am facing this evening will still be there tommorow
morning to ruin what would otherswise be a good day!!!!
I am using your explode IPAS routine and cannot get my head around the time
settings, I understand the frame envolopes and have used Snow and Rain with
little or no hitches, I have an Explode which works fine for me except that it
only lasts 15 frames and is then off screen, I would like to last approx. 30-40
frames. All of the time controls in the IPAS settings box are set to 0 and my
gravity is set to 1, I have tried everything imaginable to lengthen the
sequence (including adjusting the size/orientation of my bounding box and
setting the End: to 40) but am now getting tired and so I have decided to pose
this question to you "How do you make the duration of an explode longer ?"
Any help would greatly improve my day tommorow.
Phil
I assume that you have all 4 Time Envelope variables set to 0 because you want
the explosion to happen on frame 0, right? If that's so, some common ways of
prolonging an explosion would be to scale your axpbox down, turn initial
velocity down, and turn deceleration up.
