David: Thanks for the info!!! I've used 3DS for three presentations within two months, all single-family house remodeling jobs. The clients loved it! They understood the project much better and we did a much better job at communicating our design intentions. Due to time and $$ constraints we did only still images, some of them rendered during the actual presentation when the client requested a particular view. One of the clients brought his kids with him, and I ended up teaching them a little 3DS thru a 30 frame "shark chasing a sub" FLI anim! I plan to start offering a photorealistic image service to Architects in PR within a month and possibly animations within (hopefully) three months. I am also helping a group of students in the Univ of PR Arch School develop their presentations in 3DS. The first presentation one of them did was an urban design problem and he presented his design proposal through a series of simple volumetric studies rendered in 3DS and photographed from the monitor. Needless to say, the faculty loved his presentation while his fellow students hated his guts. Hopefully, that will motivate them to learn 3DS too. Rafael Marrero San Juan, PR
