SaveAs PCX
5 messages in this thread
Hi Dave,
Do you know of a way to save a PCX file out of AniPro? NUMPIC can do this, so
I figured AniPro must be able to do it internally – however I could not find
the command to do it. Running NUMPIC to save a single file is a bit of
overkill.
Thanks,
Mark

If you select PIC/Files to bring up the Files Panel, you will see that Picture
is highlighted. Right click on Picture to see a scrolling list of file formats
that AAPro supports. You can change the default save from GIF to PCX.
Note: you can load any of these file types from the Pic/Files/Load command by
selecting the "*.*" wildcard. AAPro can load JPEG, TGA, GIF, PCX, etc. without
having to go back and right click on the Picture dialogue box.
Nik,
<<right click>>
Ah ha – I should have figured that out. Thats good to know, thanks for the
info.

I couldn't find an easy way right off
You want to save single frame as a .PCX out of multi frame .FLC, right?
the thing that is doing work (in NUMPIC) is PCX.PDR – located in resource
directory I think.
some things that could work are:
1.- bugger up NUMPIC code to do current frame only
2. start from scratch to make a custom POCO
3. delete extra frame on either side of frame you want to save & run NUMPIC
4. run Numpic and delete extra PCXs
5. Save Frame as GIF – get out and run ANICONV
6. use HIJACK – or other program
I think that covers most of semi reasonable alternitves
any money in this? <g>
#2 will take most time I suspect
by the by – hows work? any hot leads & hot projects?
Things are sort of slow up here.
