#Nested Dialog in IPAS
3 messages in this thread
I've begun to work on "dialog" use, and wonder if an IXP can "nest" dailogs as
follows:
On the primary dialog I want a radio button where 4 choices are given and 3 of
the four are associated with 3 different "preset" conditions, and the 4th
button would be used to trigger a nested dialog where "custom" settings could
be entered in place of choosing one of the "preset" settings. Now, this same
feature would be used for several radio button groups, so that each group of
radio buttons controlled separate feature groups: As an example a SIZE group
where radio buttons are given for SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE, CUSTOM, and custom
called up a dialog where two dimensions could be entered. And also a
COMPRESSION group where buttons are given for LOW, MODERATE, HIGH, CUSTOM and
custom called up a dialog where a slider bar would be presented.
Hi Ken,
<< nested dialogs.. >>
Is the nesting question specific to IXP's or nesting in general? If it's
nesting in general, nested dialogs are possible. Have you downloaded Don
Hanson's nested dialog example from the Software Dev Kit section of the lib
called 2MENU.zip?

I guess in general, but of course my immediate concern is the IXP I am
currently developing.
I'll get the file you noted.
Thanx.
