Yes it's me again with another query. I've noticed a lot of graphic files are .gif files. Can the amiga use these and if so how? Just another question from an amiga novice.

All you need is a graphics viewer that can read GIF files. There are several in the Graphic Utilities library of AmigaArts. —Betty

Alan, <I've noticed a lot of graphic files are .gif files. Can the amiga use these and if so how?> Yes, the Amiga can view these files. How, depends on what flavor of Amiga and OS you're using. If you're up to OS 3.X you have multiview on your system, which will use datatypes. You will need a GIF datatype, which you can download from here. If your system is older there are a couple of views that will view GIF files. ViewTek and Superview may do the job for you. There are also graphics programs (ImageFX, Adpro, and others) that will also view and convert (if you wish) these files. Asha @}–`–,-
