I am working on a project and a portion of a model was done in a CAD program
and given to me as an IGES (.IGS) file. I believe that ACAD will read this
file and I could write it out as a DXF or 3DS file frm there except that I do
not have ACAD. Is there an easy way that I can use this file or do I need to
find someone with ACAD?

I have had success using R13/ASurf IGES translator. If you need someone to
transfer it for you I can do it. Do you have Internet access?
Yes, I do have internet access. The file is over 600K in size. How would you
propose transferring it? I could also send it to you on floppy with a SASE if
that would be easier. Thanks for the offer to convert it.
