Hi there, I have been trying to get 3DS r4 to work on a Dell P90 at work without any success. I keep on getting Abnormal Program Termination: Memory Protection Fault on trying to start 3DS. I have tried Clean Booting etc. without success. Please help. Thanks Dom C.

" Dell P90 at work without any success. I keep on getting Abnormal Program Termination: Memory Protection Fault on trying to start 3DS. I have tried Clean Booting etc. without success." Did the clean boot include starting 3DS with 3DS VIBCFG? The reason I ask is that I want to make sure the video card is not interfering. 3DS VIBCFG will allow you to configure the 3D Editor for 640x480x16 (don't worry about the other selections) to help get 3DS started. Clean booting – in addition to bypassing the autoexec and config files, did you disable the caches? How much memory is on your P90? Are you running a SCSI hard drive? Is there any hardware that you can remove (sound cards, etc.) that might be setting up the conflict? Normally 3DS will run with a plain bootup. Dell has a copy of 3DS that they've tested on certain machines (I am not sure who at Dell has this, but their tech support might be worth calling.)

Dom, I have the Dell P90 and it runs just fine. I also have the #9GXE Pro w/2mb and 64meg of memory. Do as nick says, try a clean boot. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the P90 itself, you must have some sort of memory confict. Cheers, Tom
