#Stealth 64 VRAM Fix
4 messages in this thread
Some people, including me, have been having troubles getting a Diamond Stealth
64 VRAM (not a Video VRAM) PCI bus card to work in anything other than 256
colors, even using the most current (Version 1.0.7.p1) Vibrant drivers.
There is a solution. Go to the the Vibrant BBS (512-918-3411) and download the
file s64bios.exe. Then run it once before you run 3D Studio. You have to re-run
it every time you reboot. Just run it once, because it will create multiple
copies of itself in RAM.
There is also a file called stlbios.exe that is a fix for the Video VRAM with
the 928 chip but I don't know much about it cause I ain't got one of them. But
look for other messages here re: that.

Hi Bill
I had a hell of a time with my Stealth 64 DRAM
They eventually sent me some drivers from Amsterdam (I'm in England)
I made the dealer show me the docs saying the card worked in OS2 before
I bought it – onlt to find the docs were simply untrue.
Anyway they sent me an update but I still cant get truecolour to work
at any resolution reliably much less the 800×600 I wanted the card for.
I have to say I'll be thinking more than twice before buying Diamond again.

Good thing I returned the card and got another different one. It's quite sad
that 3DS & vibrant doesn't like it.
I wouldn't mind so much if they just wrote some decent OS/2 drivers… Appart
from the poor drivers it's not a bad card.
