#Par and NT
3 messages in this thread
Eron, I'm wondering, since you'll be shipping speed razor soon, if you have any
tips on making the PAR work under NT? I figure you must be able to do it if
you're shipping software for it. Is there any chance of getting the PAR to work
under NT with Razor Pro? I really cannot afford to shell out $700 right now
just to get the PAR to work. Will In:sync be supporting Razor Pro under NT? I
sure hope so. It runs fine, it just can't access the PAR. I managed to get the
1.37 NT drivers for the PAR from DPS' ftp site, and while their player works
ok, the razor player does not. I keep getting the following error: PARDRR.DLL
Par time out waiting for Rx empty. If you could help out with this I'd sure
appreciate it. Also can you tell me if sound sync will work under NT with speed
razor. I've got a TB Monterey, and since TB hasn't developed NT drivers yet I'm
having a heck of a time with it all. If Speed razor will work with the Par and
support syncd sound I'll be much more apt to get it right away. Please, please,
please tell me all will be ok. I hate to dump NT but I really need Razor and
the PAR to work again. Thanks much Eron.

Dave, just read your note to Eron.
I think for the next few months I'm going to keep WFWG and NT together. It took
forever to get the memory set up for the Monterey, the network TCP/IP stack,
maximum conventional mem, and so forth.
I'm going to let the dust settle around NT a little and let the new drivers
happen.
I got the brochure on Thursday about the new Razor. I don't need it until MAX
is available. Or until I get a multi-proccessor motherboard. For that I'm gonna
wait at least for Pentium 133s if not 150s or 180s.
What do you think? Bye…
I haven't gotten any info on the new speed razor. I was just figuring that
since In:Sync has obviously gotten the PAR to work under NT they may be able to
get it to work with plain old Razor Pro also. Seems logical to me. <g> Maybe
Eron will be able to shed some light on this. DPS' sure isn't. Thanks Mark.
BTW, I'm going to install the new shell for NT today. Just for kicks. I guess
if it crashes a lot etc. it's really easy to uninstall so I figured I'd give it
a go.
