I'm getting tired of having to go to an outside service to get my animations put to tape, and have been looking for alternative methods that I could bring in-house. The PAR/PVR setup from Digimation looks intriguing. Anybody used these products? If so I'd love to hear how well they work – is the output quality good, is setup reasonable, is it relatively bug-free….? Thanks for any replies Craig Fries

Craig — I'm very familiar with both the PAR and the PVR (which isn't by Digimation, BTW, it's by Digital Processing Systems). In a nut shell, they both provide excellent quality output, and are a breeze to install/use. The PVR is better quality, newer technology than the PAR, though. One of the cool things is that you can hook up 7 Fast SCSI-II devices together, and it can play back an animation that spans all of the drives — un-interrupted!! (Hmmm.. 7 9GB drives, 36 minutes each.. <g>) Great bang-for-the-buck! If you want further details, feel free to either private e-mail me or call me at 810-704-0189. Thanks!
