Howdy! I've have P90's with 32M RAM and ATI Graphics Pro Turbo cards ( 2 & 4M). My question is this: Can Liquid Speed's performance justify cost with the machines I have or is this product geared more toward 486 users with slower video cards? Any comments are appreciated! Kev.

I got a demo with R4, and the results half on average some of the redraw time sof my meshes, with the small stuff thats not a problem, Nut with 250,000 even a P133 can start to slow, so Liquid Squid as I like to call it, seems to be able to half the redraw time, I think it all depends on how complex your models are, I you have to wait for ever for the creen to redraw the LS might be a very good investment, if not then you could always blow the cash on an IPAS 🙂 Matt 🙂

Greg…thanks for the info. You seem to be referring to redraws within Editor (or wherever), but what about rendering times? Are they affected also? For a couple hundred bucks, it should. Kev

Liquid Squid only redraws the mesh faster on the editor, Keyframer etc, as far as I know it makes no differnce to rendering time, Ipas wise, if you don't go for squid, then LenZFX is bit of a must, I really starting to love it now, it hardly ever stumps me anymore Greg:)

Kevin, << You seem to be referring to redraws within Editor (or wherever), but what about rendering times? Are they affected also? For a couple hundred bucks, it should. >> LS does not help the rendering times, the price is still worth it though. Mark

P.S. What IPAS are you referring too? Kev

Hey there Kevin. Liquid Speed shows a 2x redraw increase on my P- 120 with 32 Megs Ram. Thats in both the Keyfamer and 3D Editor. There is no increase in rendering time since this modify's the way 3D Studio handles screen redraws and not the rendering engine. Its a good purchase if you handle large (60,000 or more vertices) files. Drop me a line if you need more info. Later. Douglas Drossman P.S. Expect the 2x increase in the keyframer when playing back the animation in wire mesh mode. (Not Fast Preview)
