Same for aniplay and aniconv. << sounds like Windows memory management in the background. save your current CONFIG.SYS file as CONFIG.SAV and create a new CONFIG.SYS file with ONLY the following lines in it: files=40 buffers=40 shell=c:\dos\command.com /e:512 /p reboot the system with this configuration. it should load immediately. if it doesn't, post your autoexec.bat and previous config.sys file here as a message so we can see it. if it does load immediately, you may need to tweek some settings or look into more powerful memory managers. -dave

Kim, there is a readme file that comes with Ani-pro which has a brief refernece to configuring Pharlap. Check it out. Essentially, if you place yourself at the AniPro subdirectory prompt and type the following command CFIG386 ANI.EXE -MAXV 0 you will have reconfigured how Pharlap loads and made peace between pharlap, himem and emm386. You only have to type that line once and the new setting will remain in effect until you reconfigure. Therefore, your load-time should be fixed forever. If that setting causes problems you can return to the AniPro sub and type CFIG386 ANI.EXE -CLEAR. Everyone I know who has had problems with loadtime have found the solution in that reconfig. Do read that section of the readme file though. This is a bit redundant but I will remind you that once you type that line the reconfiguration remains in effect, so you need not bother with it again.
