Sent a tape off to you today. While I was making it, I discovered that the
Reorig. of video files is acting kinda funny.
I haven't tried to use it yet, but when I wanted to see how much room I had
left on one of my drives, I went into the record area. It said that I had about
15 minutes left. I then when to see the second drive and the time was exactly
the same. The numbers never moved.
I tested this from the other drive. This time I had about 3 minutes left. Went
to the oposite drive and again the time stayed the same. It use to be that when
you went from FlyerA to FlyerB, the time that was available on the drive would
change with that drive.
Now, you need to leave the record area and go back into it again to see the
available time. I liked it the old way.

I don't know what you have going on there, Fred. I just went around to several
machines and checked the new clip panel, and on each one the panel correctly
reported time available as I switched from drive to drive.
The only monkey I found in the owrks is that if you select the audio drive, the
clip type popup changes to audio only, and stays that way until you re-select
Standard or HQ5, while a video drive is selected on the drive popup.
Will look into this further, and pass the info to Test.

In another message I just sent to you, this problem went away by itself. Have
no idea where it came from, but things seem to be working fine. At least that
function is working fine.
Anything new on the SEAGATE firmware situation?

Fred,
Read your post and tried it here. Switching the record screen option from drive
A to B changed the values and reflected the differences between the two drives.
Might be something on your system that's different.
I did find a record raw clip problem however. When I open up the Flyer to the
default Project/Switcher screen and activate the record clip requester with the
tilde key, I get the short screen, which I expect. However, it seems that all
future accesses to the record clip requestor will result in the same short
screen, no matter where that screen is activated from then on.
Does that happen to you?
May have to make a note for Chuck.

Hank that does not happen to me…I have repeatedly opened the record screen
for m the swithcer then done it from project / files…and get the big record
screen…
Isnt it great when the same system works different on everones machine……I
just dont know!

The short record screen thing.
I'll give that a try tomorrow, but I don't think I've seen that happen. I
know I have opened up the record panel in the project/switcher screen area
and then have gone into the files/project area just to get a larger screen.
Don't recall it ever staying small, but I'll check it out.
As I mentioned in a later message, the record available times problem that I
was experiencing seemed to have cleared up. It only happened that one time.

Bewildered what you're refering to.
(or for the english fanatics among us. I'm bewildered by not understanding
that to which you are refering.)

My tilde brings up the same full-screen screen as the New Clip button.

Well, what can I say. I tried again a moment ago to get the short screen to
repeat in the project/files format, but it wouldn't. And I tried it five times,
with variations.
The short screen is the record raw clip screen you get when you access the
record function with the Project/Switcher format up. You must hit the tilde key
to get the screen in that display, since the "new clip" tab is not present. The
short screen has not "reorg time", or "reorg drive" options, and is only about
50% of the height of the screen.
Boot the Toaster and, once the project/switcher screen is up, hit the tilde
key, and the short screen will appear. You can use this to create clips and
switch between inputs while recording.
