#Globel Command

Did I read somewhere that there is now a way of giving a globel command?
I am changing the soundtrack on a video to another language. So, I am now using
the English track as a guide. I left the sound turned on, on all of the clips.
The Spanish track is on an audio clip.
Is there some way, when I am finished editing, that I can give a single command
to have the sound go off on all of the video clips? Or is there someway of just
clicking on the surface of each crouton and give a key command to turn off the
sound without having to open each one in control? I'm going to end up with
about 50 or 60 croutons, all from the same video clip.

No, there is no such global command at this time, it is a suggestion on the
feature request list, and one that might be implemented via an ARexx script.

It IS there. Select ALL. Do an ALT-A and the audio on only the video clips
turns off. Do is again and they all turn on. Just what I needed.
I can see a need for something that will adjust all of the volumns in the same
way. I had to raise the level of a narration after finishing everything. If you
can't do that right away, maybe a keystroke to open up the volumn requester
like there is with the time code. And a way of copying and placing the same
value in that area like we can now do with time code.

there is also "alt-l" which turns on all the Locks for all selected clips.
As for the volume thing, in the Arexx/editor Dir, there is a script called
"AbsProjectVolume.Rexx" it will take all the clips in you project, Ask you what
volume to set to, and cahnge them all! Hope that helps. 8)

Fred, I can see I need to quit spending all day and night online and start
putting in some quality time with my Flyer system, now that I actually have one

How about a list of all the new keyboard commands taht we could download? There
seems to be a bit of confusion over a lot of these…
I will request a file on the keyboard commands from Docs and Test.

I've got it. I just need to read it through more than once to check out the
commands.
The Arexx onces dealing with speed and reverse, gave me a bit of a problem, but
I got it to work.
I am now at the point of trying to turn out a video a day. Talk about burn out.

According to the ReadMe file, page 7, you can activate and deactivate audio for
the selected crouton(s) by doing Alt/a. This will toggle on/off the audio
playback on the selected croutons. You can tell which one have audio on by the
speaker graphic in the upper right hand corner of the crouton.

Yep, found it right after I wrote the message. This morning I actually pressed
the help button and noticed that it along with other keyboard controls are
there. I need a day just to play around with these new features. No rest for
the wicked.
BTW, next spring the conference that I am taping next week will be in Boston.
Will plan on stopping by your place. We've got six months to plan it.
