#AVI vs. DIB Frames

Dave, I've noticed that when I open files in SoundLab, it sometimes says that the video stream is a "New Animator Studio AVI Stream" and other times it will say something like "DIB frames starting with filename.tif ". It seems that the AVI streams run more smoothly than the DIB files. Why Why would this be? Thanks, Barry
