Hi there, I am trying to do a simple effect with the desintegrate (DISINT.AXP) IPAS from YOST Group, Inc. I have a solid object that I want to desintegrate to nothing for a period of 30 frames, startint at frame 61 of my animation. I have try a couple of things but I'm new with this IPAS and don't know yet how it really works ! Anyone can give me a hint ! Thanks, Christian Dubuc [71610,1332] chrisd@mksinfo.qc.ca

Christian, The Disintegrate IPAS is a fun one and I have used it numerous times. Just remember that it is a two part IPAS. That is you can have particles appear and coalesce onto the surface of an object AND/OR have the particles already coalesced onto the object and have them scatter and disappear. Pay close attention to the sample frame envelopes on page 15. I usually use two identicle objects, one has the IPAS and the other is the regular object that disapears as the particles do their thing. You can use Video Post or Vary or an animated opacity map to do this. Have fun and don't forget to _play_ with the sample meshes that come with the IPAS, these can be very helpful. Ralph
