#Erase Pen?

TigerSoftware sent me yet another catalog with the Wacom Erasing UltraPen.
Mentioned as supporting the erase function are: Adobe, Fractal Design and
Macromedia. What I am curious to know is: WHAT are they supporting? Is it an
undo funtion? Or what? Just curious. Thanks for any comments.

It really is an erase function. Flip the pen over and erase what you just
painted. I tried it out at Siggraph and as soon as I'm 100% sure it supports
WinNT I'm getting one.

Ok Ted B. & DaviD G.:
I guess it is *what* is erased that I am wondering about. When you do some
drawing/painting with the pointy end, are you putting your stuff on a separate
layer? Then when you turn over to the eraser, are you erasing just that layer?
In other words, the drawing/painting, as well as the erasing, don't have
anything to do with the original image?
Or, when erasing, are you erasing to nothing (a hole in the image)?
Or do you have a choice of either option?
Just curious, it seems like it could either be a nice thing or just another
cutsy gimic, not sure.

You said it yourself "erase function". Remember the little rubber at the end of
your pencil, well the electronic pen does the same thing except it erases
pixels rather than graphite. I'm hoping to get one soooon.
