Well I tried your suggestion and I ran into another wall…. 1. Open existing AVI. 2. Start new AVI w/ same frame count 3. Select first AVI and switch to TimeMode 4. "Select All of the Segment" from EDIT menu. Wham! Error Dialog. "An error has occurred….." [Close] [Ignore] GPF in Animator at 0006:CB46 GPF in module MFC250.DLL at 000C:2E8A Crash to DOS. Thanks for the help.

>> GPF in Animator at 0006:CB46 GPF in module MFC250.DLL at 000C:2E8A Crash to DOS. << there is something dreadfully wrong here, Behymer. if we can't even get this far… hmmmm. i'm away from my office this week so i don't even have access to your thread so far (which specs out your system, OS and resources). if you can ping me on Monday about this weirdness again, i'd be happy to bang on things till we get this resolved. sorry for the hassle. i've done the steps on problem several times on many systems… and am almost sure its a proprietary compatibility issue or a configuration issue. -dave

No problem. Here's my current setup: Gateway 2000 P5-133XL, 1.6 GB Disk, 40 MB RAM, Matrox Mellinium graphics, 100 MB perm swap file. Running Windows for Workgroups 3.11. I'm using Renderize to produce walk thru animations and would like to use AS to "dress them up" with sound, titles, and special effects. What else do you need to know? I don't think it's a problem with the AVI files I'm working with since I have the same problems with sample AVIs from AS. Thanks again for the help.
