When I say "arc" it means "archive utility" in general. In this case, LHA
would work. No one uses the original "ARC" utility anymore.

is not quite right. ARC is still the only official compressor for Fidonet
business. It is used and I recieve packets in ARC every week. The
Nodelist, for instance, is an absolutely essential tool for BBS's. The
Amiga ARC version is fully compatible.
