Did you download that file with the 000 extension using WINCIM and it's in your
file cabinet? I don't use WINCIM very much for downloads but (dim memory) I
think if you change the extension to what you are expecting to see like .3DS it
should work. Make a copy to play with!

Thanks Ann i found out that .000 means bad file
thanks

WinCIM, for some reason, fails to append the proper extention to some
downloaded files. As a result, it puts 000, 001, 002, 003, …, as the
extention. To correct the problem simply rename the file giving it the correct
extension.
If you can't remember the correct extension, just do a search of the libs to
find it. This technique has my personal seal of approval: I have a habbit of
downloading stuff and then not looking at it for two weeks! <g>

Thanks very much Jim

Where you got the .000 extension is by marking the file FOR downloading
(thereby "reserving" the space for it) but not actually DOING the download.
After having marked it, you need to go to the LIBRARY pulldown and select
"Retrieve marked files".
While it has the .000 extension, "there ain't no 'there' there."

Thanks Stephen
