I just encountered a problem that I had not had before, and discovered a
quick solution.
I was saving a very long .DO file to cassette. I wanted to confirm that it
was recorded correctly, but, of course, there is no CLOAD? command for .DO
files, and there was not enough free RAM to load the file back and get a
checksum without killing the original.
However, I tried the venerable DOWNCK.WM3, and discovered that it WORKS ON
CASSETTE FILES! Just enter CAS:FILENAME at the prompt.

Amazing indeed! Wonder if Woods had found that out!! Of course, he is a
DVI man so ….
DOCHK.100 and at least one other file in DL 4 confirm CAS: loads
methinks ….
