#CHIPMUNK/SPREAD

I'm not sure this is much help since it's been a while since I tried it, (maybe
pre-V3.24), but — last time I tried to use SPREAD with a file load from disk,
it didn't work. I could write a file to disk from SPREAD, but not the other
way around. I'll do some playing around and try to get back in a day or two.

Glenn- thanks. I will also try and see what happens to me. I am so used to
bombing the system, hanging it and having to cold start that a few more won't
hurt me. I am getting bold. —–bill—–
Bill, I played around with SPREAD a bit this morning and it loads and stores
files from disk just fine. Just don't forget the "0:" prefix on the file name.
I also found (didn't know before) that the program will trap and allow reentry
if the data file won't fit the sheet you set up when you start the program.
Neat. This raises some interesting possibilities about file size since you
don't have to keep a copy of the data file in RAM. Hope this helps, Cheers,
Glenn
